Question / Help Not-as-smooth 60 fps stream

Hello!

I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems that my stream isn't true "60 fps" like some other channels I've been seeing around. It's not smooth, and the frames seem laggy when I playback the recording.

Someone's "smoother" stream: http://www.twitch.tv/kitsat_nahp/b/467262394

Mine: http://www.twitch.tv/brenbread/b/467218401

My log: http://pastebin.com/N7wkT79m

My upload:

System specs:

AMD Phenom II x4 970 3.5 Ghz
Corsair XMS3 8GB (4GB x2) 1600 mhz
Corsair CX600
AMD Radeon 7870 Ghz Edition
Intel PCI-e NIC
Windows 7 64-bit

I'm not sure if it's my specs, network, or both. The person with the "smoother" stream (in my eyes) is using significantly better hardware than me. But I'm not sure if that's the problem.

Anyways, thanks!

well i would understand the problem if you would actually playing a game that uses your gpu since i've had literally the same problem when i had my 7870xt in my streaming/gaming/main/whatever machine (the gpu is now in my lan rig) and i fixed it with an nvidia gpu for some reason they perform WAY BETTER with a 60 fps stream whatsoever since your system doesnt even use any resource for osu it got everything left to capture and stream which your logs also says and also the vod looks like legit 60fps didnt saw a single stutter or whatever :/

Hm, OBS isn't reporting anything bad in terms of performance, I tried out osu just now with no problems myself, although I have a 7950. Your video indeed doesn't appear quite as smooth on my end. Your encoder settings look pretty good too.

It's been a recurring problem for me. I'll try streaming on and off and see if anything happens to improve.

Still unsure of the reason though.
