Question / Help Not able to turn off Aero

So I've heard from various Pokémon Trading Card Game Online streamers that it might lag and turning off aero helps, but for some reason I can't turn it off! Could anyone help me with this?

Aero cannot be disabled with Windows 8/8.1 and there is no reason to disable it with that version of windows.
