Question / Help Noob issues

I am a total noob at this and I'm having a few issues.

I know it's some setting, but I can't figure it out.

1) OBS is only giving me a screen capture when I record to file and

2) stops recording after 30 seconds.

Are you using any mods with minecraft? If it suddenly stops capturing and then "freezes" usually that's what it means, the mods can also cause crashes with game capture as well.

The video I posted on YouTube is from my attempt to record from single player Skyblock.

I also have the same issues with single player vanilla Minecraft
