Question / Help Noise problem Just started using OBS & Twitch

Hello, i just started this streaming stuff and when ever i stream i hear a repeat/echo and a VERY HIGH pitch sound off the stream. Is there a fix? Also how do i add a microphone to OBS? it is a USB mic.
 
Well the echo really depends, are you watching your stream while you're streaming? If so, mute it because OBS picks up any sound on your computer. As for the microphone, once it is plugged in and working you just go to the "Audio" section in settings and there should be a drop down next to Microphone/Auxiliary Audio Device where your mic will be listed (try clicking reinitialize if it isn't showing in the list). Also make sure to check "Force Microphone/Auxiliary to Mono" so your mic isn't only in the left or right channel. Hope that helped and good luck streaming! :D

No problem. Oh, and another thing, I usually keep my browser open on my twitch dashboard that way I can see chat and it allows you to hide the video preview so you're not using more resources. Might not even need that if you're using something like Chatty. Tip: being new to streaming, make sure you aren't looking at the viewer count. It'll discourage you at first because you'll wonder why people leave all the time. If you hide it with another window or use a chat app, you'll focus only on gaming and talking to viewers.
