I've tried seemingly everything, but the only way Quick Sync mode will do window capture is if I turn Aero off, which I can't do because it completely kills the performance of my source and causes screen tearing. Unfortunately game capture isn't an option because it gets the aspect ratio wrong (due to a 4:3 to 16:9 hack I'm using).
The only option is windowed with Aero, but that gives me a grey screen every time. This doesn't only happen with Quick Sync though. The problem seems to be the fact that I have to connect a display to my motherboard, even if it's just a virtual one. I've tried multiple combinations as far as where the source and OBS are running, and nothing seems to work.
