Question / Help No Sound

Massive problem with the software I cannot get any sound to pick up at all. There is no sound on the recorded videos and it doesn't show up on the speaker level at the bottom right of OBS. I have tried using stereo mix but OBS doesn't seem to want to recognise any mic either. I've tried all the sources and there's no difference. I can't find any fix online and it's really starting to annoy me.

Useful(?) Info:
IDT HD Audio Codec
Encoding settings: AAC 48kHz 256 Bitrate Stereo
Windows 8

Solved this problem solution for anyone else:
Download DirectShow Audio Source Plugin by Paibox (it's on this site)
Add it in scenes and set it to your speakers
You now have sound.
