Hi, thanks in advance for reading, i've been streaming perfectly gameplay from my Wii with OBS and my Elgato GCHD as a Global Source and recently got a Wii U and decided to do the same, i connected everything and did the same thing with it, but when i turn the Wii U on it says in the OBS screen that there is No Signal, but in the Elgato GCHD Software program runs perfectly fine, I thought it was the cable setup but that's not the issue, my Wii still runs fine and streams perfectly with the GCHD and OBS setup I have but now I don't know what to do, does somebody have the same issue? please let me know what can I do, thank you very much!

If you're trying to use a webcam with it, then try disabling the webcam first before using it. I've seen the 'no signal' problem happen when there are other things active on USB. Though generally for the elgato I don't really quite know why this happens on occasion for some users. I have an elgato myself for testing and haven't really experienced issues with it.

I am having the same damn problem and ive been trying to fix it for hours. im extremely frustrated because my 130$ legato is essentially a paperweight at the moment and the fuckin obs support channel people have abruptly stopped trying to help me.

Necroposting a thread from a year ago where Jim specifically said "I don't really quite know why this happens on occasion for some users" is probably not the best move.

Might be better to reach out to Elgato, and see if they have a fix. It's their hardware after all, and they may have come up with something.

Do bear in mind that the people in the OBS support channel (and here on the forum) are community members, not paid support (even the Devs/Admins/Mods!), and getting salty at people when they don't have an answer will just get you and your problem ignored. No one wants to help someone who's being a jerk to them, after all, and it's not like they've got any kind of obligation to do so.
