What capture card are you using to connect the PS4 to your laptop? You can't just stream from the PS4's native streaming, and at the same time stream from a laptop to do overlays; everything has to go into the laptop, and then be streamed from there to work.

Beyond that, make sure to put your streaming key in on OBS correctly, you can get this from your Twitch website dashboard.

Hi thanks for that I'm copying and pasting my key and just saw I needed a capture card so I'll have to get 1 .if I'm streaming from my ps4 tho how am I gonna do it from the laptop? I thought it was a case of what was been put out on my channel OBS would pick it up and I could put layers on it from that ????

Nope. OBS doesn't pull a stream down, edit it and then put it up again. Not how it works.

Essentially what you do is plug the PS4 into the capture card, set up OBS to use the capture card as a video capture device source in a scene. Then you put the rest of your elements above or below that layer (usually above), like a deck of cards to create the layout you want.

OBS then composites the video, encodes it and streams it to Twitch at a significantly higher quality than the built-in PS4 streaming can manage. This does require a fairly powerful CPU though, fair warning.
