I am trying to set up so I can record a game, however when I go to the video settings, there is no option for video adapter. I'm not the most tech savvy, but I have an HP ProBook 4430s, I would really appreciate anyone's help with this. Thank you very much!

I actually haven't. To be quite honest? I don't know how to do that. I would really appreciate the help if you could explain to me how I would go about that. This is the first laptop I've ever owned

Well I'm not an expert like some people here but if I was to guess, I'd say your video adapter is not supported by obs. You may be out of luck

Intel HD graphics 2000, 3000, and later, is supported, at least for windows 7.

OBS-mp don't yet have option to change GPU, your screenshot shows regular OBS not listing.

Running windows 8 or 10? There might be a bug on regular OBS not listing any graphics on some windows version?

"HP ProBook 4430s" probably only have a single GPU. If list of graphics adapter was working, there will be only 1 listed with no other option. As long as OBS don't complain about missing DirectX 10/11 it should be ok by adding capture source.
