Been getting constant encoding overloads the last few days, even tho OBS mostly worked fine recording lighter games previously. I thought hardware encoding would fix it, but there is no option to do so. And I do have a graphics card.
That's a big maybe. You need to check your version of the card. If it is Kepler, then you'll need to use OBS 27 (see sig). Newer versions do not support old NVENC.
According to gpu-z it is fermi. Just to check I also got OBS 27 anyway and the option wasn't there either. There is something weird with Nvidia and my PC tho. It doesn't even let me update my drivers since I can't login to it.
