Question / Help No Game Sound

Hey, not long ago i bough myself a soundcard Asus Xonar DX 7.1 Surround, and before that i could record sound perfect(ingame), my microphone and Windows 7 sounds work perfect but i can't seem to get any sound from the games i play, and since i stream and record youtube videos with this program sound is very important... what to do? ;D... So i dont know, i get windows sound, but not game ;(... i know i've choosen the right sound specific because it record mic and desktop sound :)
 
Make sure you do not have the surround sound emulation thing enabled, (GX, I believe it's called?) as this is known to cause problems with recording desktop sound when using these models of sound cards.

No im not sure i have that enabled ;D because i dont know where i can enable it ^^ sorry for beeing silly but i have no clue on sound, i only got experience in computer/komponents ^^
 
Sorry, I wish I could help, but I've never tried one of these sound cards myself. I just know that a number of people have had issues with these cards, and in most of the cases it has been the "GX" thing, whatever it is.
 
alot of people have been having issue with this same card..
right click the sound icon from the bottom right and go to playback devices. post a screenshot of that
 
If possible, also try with 0.466, does it work there? You can access the older versions on the sourceforge page if needed, though you can also drop by chat some time when you have time to help me debug it if you wish, I'd love to make a test build and see what's going on specifically

Sorry for the wierd language, but if uyou dont understand go on google translate or something ^^

hmm, go to the game options and force it to output audio to hoyttaiere apply and restart the game.
if that doesn't work try the default

Ty, the GX thing worked, so there is no problems anymore ,ty anyway
