Question / Help "No Device..." error on OBS using Elgato Game Capture HD

Recently, I had issues with the elgato software crashing obs until I reinstalled the software (thanks to LtRoyalShrimp for the help and advice :]). Unfortunately, whenever I try to record or stream with the capture card through OBS, it reads as "No device...". Strangely enough, it shows video normally in the Game Capture HD software, so it doesn't seem that there is a connection problem with the usb cable. I have tried everything from letting the capture device resetting to adjusting settings in obs, and nothing seems to work. I currently am on the 32bit obs, latest update. The only thing running in the scene is the capture card, and nothing else. Is there anything I could be doing wrong?
 
Something I also forgot to mention is that it shuts off the display on the monitor as well when i run the scene on obs. This doesn't occur during previews on the game capture software.

Please re-install the Game Capture software.

Also, make sure the HD is a global source. This will stop it from resetting when you switch scenes and that will stop the black screens.
