Question / Help No Cam-Signal with Capturecard

Heyho everybody,

I have a problem with obs (Capture Card + Webcam)

I stream with my webcam (Microsoft LifeCam Studio) and since a few days also with a capture card (AverMedia Live Gamer HD Lite). Since the CC is connected my cam sometimes doesn't work. The cam is „active“ in OBS + the LEDS are on, but there is no signal in the preview+in the stream.

I need to shut down the computer, switch the USB-Port and start again to get the camera work.
If I go back to OBS then and rightclick the „Video Device“ > „Properties“ it shows me as the device the Capture card, not the Webcam. If I then click on „OK“ (doesn't matter if I changed the device or not) the cam isn't working anymore and I have to shutdown the computer again, change the port and restart.

The Capture card on the other hand is working fine the whole time.

Sorry for my english, it's not my native language – hope you were able to understand the problem.

Thanks in advance for your answers,
Skaii

What happen if u only connect the cam. Is it working fine?
My webcam has crash obs sometimes, but only with the cc connected. My way to fix it was using the other xxbit.exe. so if u using the 64bit exe, try the 32bit.

Is this cc a usb card? Because avermedia cc has problems with the mobos usb ports. Dont know if this is a problem with usb 2.0 cards too. My extreme u3 crashes obs and my cam about every start of obs.

If you using a usb cc, you should always use a usb card. For pci or pci e, to get the most power for the cc. The mobos usb slots have not enough power to handle all the usb devices and the cc smooth enough.
