Question / Help No Audio

I currently cannot seem to get my audio to work properly for any game on Steam although I can stream WoW perfectly fine without problem. For example, I tried Counter-Strike and Quake 4 but neither pick up the audio and I haven't messed with anything prior to trying Quake/CS after WoW.

Also, I've been using Capture Game and trying Capture Window but neither work. Game capture shows the screen and no sound while Window capture shows a grey screen and no sound at all.

I'm assuming this is your default audio device?
Speakers (ASUS Xonar DGX Audio Device)

Personally I would make a new scene for each game and specify a game capture per scene to define each game. have a game open one at a time. typically you'll only hear a game when tabbed into said game

Yeah, it seems to be the sound card because I tried messing around with my motherboard sound ports and it works flawlessly.

But the only thing that seems weird to me is that I was playing and streaming World of Warcraft through my sound card and had no problem until I switch to a different game then it decided not to work anymore.

OBS picks up my background music and anything else going on in the background of my desktop through the sound card as well.

Also, dping, I have a second monitor so I was monitoring the output of everything in OBS when in game.

So even though I somewhat figured out my problem, is there anyone knowledgeable enough to help me through getting it to work through my sound card? Is OBS just not compatible anymore? Previously I've had no problems mind you, prior to reformatting my hard drive. (I have all drivers up to date as well)

Just set OBS to the soundcard that you are using for your game, typically the default

That's the thing, I had tried to switch everything to default after the fact I found it not working yet nothing seemed to work except my microphone and the picture of the game. Also, again, I had no problem either way playing WoW with sound via Default or DGX.

make a new scene and a new game capture for the game not working.

I've also tried that as well, even closing OBS and trying Multiplatform as well as restarting my PC with only the desired game running in the background.
