I am livestreaming our church service every Sunday, using Win 10, OBS, and an Elgato HD60S which takes analog audio from our soundboard. Does everyone have to run the Elgato 4k capture utility first before starting OBS in order to get audio? If I don't, then I have zero sound in the audio mixer and nothing in the headphones.
Once I start the capture utility, the audio pops in loud and clear, then I close the utility and proceed with livestreaming. Does the Elgato utility start a driver or something that is required by OBS? I uninstalled OBS and the Elgato 4k, then installed the latest versions of both hoping that would fix it, but no luck. Trouble is, the capture utility seems to result in a lot of blue screen shutdowns. thx
