Question / Help New user, webcam as source shows black screen

Hi, I just started using OBS and I am trying to configure a scene with just my webcam.

I am using OBS v0.624b
Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920

I made a new scene and just added a Source -> Video Capture Device -> my Webcam
The screen in preview was black

Turns out can't use it while the Logitech Webcam Software has it in use.

I tried a lot of web searching first and really did not find it, so thought I would post it here.

I thought my GoogleFu was strong.

In general, DirectShow devices like webcams and capture cards cannot be used in multiple places at once.
