Question / Help [New User] Desktop Black Screen

Hello,

Sorry for making another thread on this topic, but I wasn't sure if it was okay for me to hijack one of the old ones.
I just downloaded the software and attempted to use it, but I am getting a black screen with Game Capture. I tried my best to set all of the options to the recommended settings, but I still messed something up I guess. I don't really know much about computers, so there might actually be a lot wrong. I would like some help, please.

I have tried a few. They are mostly free-to-play downloads. Ib, The Witch's House, Ao Oni, and a few others. Is it because of the format?

Are those all RPG Maker games? Because RPG Maker games use DirectX 8, which does not work with OBS's game capture. You might try using this plugin instead: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/directdraw-dx8-capture-support.12614/ (Though it is still in development)

Ah! Yeah, they are all RPG Maker games. I will try this out and hopefully it will work. Thank you so much!
