Question / Help New to the obs community - audio / mic help

So as i am new to the OBS community i was recently using xplit was kinda shitty quality being limited to 720p on a 1080p monitor, so now im in love with this program its got great quality for my audio and video but only thing i havent figured out how to do, is how can i make it to where my mic isnt active durring the hole time? i use mumble in the background while im raiding at night (when i stream) and im trying to find out how i can only capture whats coming threw my speaks such as game sounds music, mumble voice audio and when i talk in it. lol i dont want it to capture me swearing up a storm because some guildie is an idiot.
 
I'm not 100% sure what you need, but here's two suggestions:

Turn off mic recording in OBS completely: settings > sound tab > then select microphone/other sound device to not be in use.
Push to talk: It can be found from the settings under the shortcut keys tab.
