Hi, im new to obs and new to streaming its something i've always wanted to try so thought id give it a go.
My pc specs and internet are below:

Intel i5 2500k @ 4ghz
Powercolour 7850 2gb ddr3 gpu

Upload speed 3 MB/s
Download speed 62 MB/s

Current obs settings:

Max Bitrate 2200
CBR enabled
Base Resolution 1920 x 1080
Downscale to 1280 x 720
have the biliner filter on
FPS set to 30

I'm looking for some help on the settings to stream in, I'm aiming for 720p and i read that's possible with upload speed of 3MB/s but i just can not seem to get it working currently. Also obviously id like to get it as clear quality as possible

Your system is pretty good, you're mostly limited by your upload speed. The settings you've chosen are pretty good for what you're doing as well. If you want more quality per macroblock, you'll have to use more downscale, because I don't think you can set your bitrate higher at that upload.

Otherwise you may just need a better internet connection so you can stream higher resolutions without blocking.

Hi Jim thanks for your reply and sorry mine is late, I had a mess about with the settings changed them to the following:

Max Bitrate 2500
Downscale to 1536 x 864
Have Lanczos filter on
FPS set to 60 fps

i think will probably be best settings only issue i am getting now is trying to us an extension called Untamed Now playing, i can not seem to get it to work and only get the following message "Could not Load NPAPI File IO For Chrome"
