Question / Help New Sources to Bottom

Hey, my problem (if you can call it that) is that I'm pretty forgetful and keep forgetting to move TwitchAlerts back to the top after I add a new source. I don't feel the need to bother with an overlay so it's not immediately obvious to myself until the notification is meant to show that I realise my mistake.

What would be ideal is i could set it so that new sources are added to the bottom, I appreciate the fact that if a new source is added, chances are you are about to use it so having at the top is convenient in that respect. However I would prefer the opposite :D.

Failing that, is there any way to lock a specific source to always stay on the top?

Cheers.

Its kind of a thing to help the user. If a new source wouldnt be on top it might be hidden behind other sources and a user might think it would not work. So a new source gets always added to the top so the user can see it and then decide to move it to the background.
OBS-MP will in the future probably offer options to lock a source but I am not totally sure if we can change the general behavior without giving new/unexperienced users a hard time.

I see your point, perhaps a setting in advanced settings which allows new sources to go behind? That way by default (for new users) their sources are added to the top.

Just a thought.

So... the new source would just be invisible at that point, as it'd pop behind any game capture, background splash, webcam, other scene elements... plus then make the user have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list, and move it up however far until it's above the game capture again anyway?

Really, it takes at most a second or two to click on the new source at the top of the stack so it's highlighted, and then CTRL+down arrow a few times until it's at the right place in the list. Even when you're live, and realize belatedly, or add a new source on the fly.
