Question / Help New PC no gaming. Where to go - better CPU (x264, QuickSynch) or GPU (NVENC, VCE) ??

Im going to buy 1000Euro computer for streaming. No games but 3 internet cameras in 720p with greenscreen. What to focus on to achieve decent speed? CPU only? QuickSync? Or give encoding for GPU and leave CPU only for greenscreen?

Focus on CPU, you want to avoid using NVENC/QS/VCE for streaming due to the high bitrates needed.

Ok, and things like greenscreen are CPU based as well right? Now what kind of processor to look for? i7 (haswell? skylake?) or Xeons? What is optimal number of cores for OBS? Is it better to go in quantity or single core power?

Look for the i7 4790k. Its the best cpu out right know and i using him to for my streaming pc.

What about going i7-5820k with 6 cores? Is it better to have 6x3.3GHz or 4x4GHz for streaming, greenscreen and writing on disk at the same time?

I must add that we also thinking about streaming to more than one RTMP server.

Than the i7-5820k could be better. Didnt have experience with it. Bit ut looks in the first look stronger
