Question / Help New machine new settings

So, I just purchased a new iMac 27 retina with the following Specs

i5 Quad core 3.5 Ghz
24 Gigs DDR III 1600 Mhz
AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB
Fusion TB drive
OSX Yosemite
Latest version of OBS

So, I had started to poke around with OBS on my Windows machine but couldn't get where I wanted to be so I abandoned things, but one thing is for sure, after looking at the Mac version, there's far less options than there used to be on Windows. What I'd like to do is be able to stream CS:GO and Minecraft, those are pretty much the 2 that I play and I'd like to stream to Twich, don't really need to do anything else stream wise.

In essence what I'm looking for is the settings that will give me the best for each game, even if I have to create 2 profiles for it. This thing should be able to do a pretty good job, I'm assuming, and should be able to do at least a 720p output, perhaps higher. Can anyone give me some hints here?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the Multiplatform OBS version is still a work in progress. It will/should eventually have the same options (and more) that the current Windows-only OBS has.

As for settings, I'm not too sure on as I don't use the Multiplatform version much; plus the version I use is for Windows - so not sure if some options/choices may be different.

But, as a general rule of thumb with this specs, as you said, you should be able to do 720p output at 30FPS. Not sure what Bitrate (probably 3500 or 3000 at most).

Hopefully someone else will come along and be able to provide some more help.

Which, one option is to just try a few different settings and see how it goes. Not the quickest way to figure things out. But, if no one else has any ideas/suggestions trying out the different options will at least give you a chance to get used to everything.
