Hey guys,

Finally broke down and got a new rig in order to stream, and play new games. I got:

i7-4790k @4ghz
asus h87-pro board
nvidia gtx 970 4gb EVGA
32gb of ddr 1866 ram
250gb SSD 550/500 read write
750w PSU

I tried to some recordings, and I set it to 60 fps.. it looks smooth but the quality when moving around and fighting is pixelated. Here are my bandwidth results.. I ~COULD~ upgrade to 60down 10 up worst case.. but id like to try this first.

Thanks guys!

http://www.twitch.tv/thesc0rn/b/583275473 example of my current settings.

  • 1080p
  • Enable CFR for compatibility with streaming services
  • Enable CBR for improved stream stability
  • Recommended max bitrate: 3500
  • Recommended buffer size: 3500
@ 60 fps setting. Any help on settings to max performance/quality would be great!

well recording is another topic

for streaming your current settings are fine

for recording you could set your bitrate/buffer to 15000 or just leave the buffer at 0 and the encoder decides how much bitrate is needed for each second

for local recording you also uncheck CBR but leave cfr obviously checked

for custom settings you could change the quality goal by typing crf=22 under advanced custom x264 commands the lower the cfr the higher is the quality goal
