Question / Help Network Fails When Streaming

Regardless of what service I use, after a bit, my internet will fail and I will be disconnected from everything. A minute or two later, I will reconnect. But the problem is constant. I've tried lowering my bitrate and the like, but it has solved nothing. Even with the new Steam Broadcasting it replicates the same problem. I recently moved, but I have the same internet package as before, around 50mbps. Can anyone offer some tips or has been experiencing a similar issue? The problem did not present itself until I had moved, so I am thinking it is likely my internet package or my connection.

Happens on both wired and wireless connections? Are you using the same router as before? If you have a separate router and modem, does the problem also happen when you're connected directly to the modem? Assuming you can rule out your own hardware as cause this would most likely warrant a call to your ISP.

I actually only have access to a wireless connection where I am in the house. There is only one Ethernet port. I haven't tried to connect to the modem as that is in my roommate's room. I am down the hall, so it could be likely that my signal is the issue, but I seem to have excellent connection in regards to everything else. Perhaps next time he is out I will move my setup into his room and try that out. It only happens when I am broadcasting. Downloads occur without incident, at very speedy rates, as well as watching streams and the like. Which is what leads me to believe it could be my hardware. Unless my ISP is throttling me for some reason when I start broadcasting due to the data used. But I don't have any caps or anything like that. My ISP is Comcast, by the way.
