I hate asking here because I think it's Netflix that is causing the problem, but none of their customer service is knowledgeable enough to do anything for me.
When I watch a movie on Netflix, it triggers HDCP. When I close Netflix, the HDCP remains active. For example: on a fresh boot I go to Netflix, watch a movie, close the browser completely, open OBS, attempt to stream, get a HDCP screen in OBS from my Video Capture Device.
This is all on PC. I'm using an Avermedia Live Gamer HD internal cap card.
I'm open to the idea that it's the cap card that isn't releasing the HDCP, but I just don't know. The only ways I've found to get rid of the HDCP is by rebooting, or by unplugging and plugging back in the monitor connected to the cap card.
