Question / Help Netflix causing DHCP when not in use.

I hate asking here because I think it's Netflix that is causing the problem, but none of their customer service is knowledgeable enough to do anything for me.

When I watch a movie on Netflix, it triggers HDCP. When I close Netflix, the HDCP remains active. For example: on a fresh boot I go to Netflix, watch a movie, close the browser completely, open OBS, attempt to stream, get a HDCP screen in OBS from my Video Capture Device.

This is all on PC. I'm using an Avermedia Live Gamer HD internal cap card.

I'm open to the idea that it's the cap card that isn't releasing the HDCP, but I just don't know. The only ways I've found to get rid of the HDCP is by rebooting, or by unplugging and plugging back in the monitor connected to the cap card.

You know, I've heard that but I don't get it. I do see an increase in performance when using it. I wouldn't be able to multibox D3 and stream without it.

That sounds default behavior for HDCP (not DHCP)

Problem is related to how Silverlight player is programmed with Netflix. That stuff is closed source and only Netlix devs know more about it. Basically it sounds that player does not deactivate HDCP after use.
