Question / Help Need help with capturing PS3 via component -> HDMI

Hey guys,

I recently bought an AVerMedia Live Gamer HD and a Ligawo Component to HDMI converter to capture my PS3. I've been running into a very strange issue with it, though. I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

When I connect the Ligawo convert to my monitor it immediately shows me the correct display. However, when I connect it to my LGHD it fails completely. Sometimes it'll at least send the signal down the pass-through, but this usually takes a very long time and sometimes the signal's affected too (for instance, it'd display a distorted image). In OBS I either get no image at all, or this mess.

I'm kind of lost. I have no idea how to fix it. The converter works fine by itself, but connected to the LGHD it doesn't work. Any one of you guys know how to get around this?

I'm currently using the RECentral Windows 8.1 Beta. Would that influence it at all?

I solved it by using a makeshift component -> hdmi converter that I already owned: my Live Gamer Portable. Turns out the Ligawo converter spews out a signal my LGHD doesn't like. The signal the LGP produces works perfectly fine though. Stupid solution, great results.

It requires you to bypass HDCP to stream from the PS3, http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=101&cp_id=10113&cs_id=1011306&p_id=8204&seq=1&format=2 will do the trick. The other option is to use the RECentral PREVIEW option in fullscreen and then screen capture.
