Hi this is my first post here and i was wondering how to get a smoother stream, my stream lags but my game doesnt...
Specs:
i7 930
6g DDR3 2000 @ 1866
GTS 250
MSI xPower Big Bang
2x 300gb HDD
Screen Res 1600x900
DL=30Mb UL=30Mb

I would think that I can stream using these Specs but i guess not, Is it my graphics card not encoding good enough or is it just my settings?

Your GPU is really really slowing you down here. The GTX 2XX cards are pretty bad and are definitely your bottleneck. If you want a hope of streaming with them, you'll need to downscale more and drop to 25fps.

Unless you're a partnered streamer, using 3500kbps is not recommended, and will lead to your viewers complaining about stutter and lag. Much less the 5000kbps (?!) you switched to later in the logfile, which will cause problems with the ingest server itself (absolute max is 3500).

For a non-partnered streamer, 2000kbps is more than enough to provide a good quality 720p@30fps stream (and is coincidentally the max recommended for a non-partnered stream), and will smooth out the stutter for your viewers DRAMATICALLY. You can drop all the way to 1500kbps as a test, which will be even better for your viewers, but may induce a bit of visual artifacting/blocking on HIGH motion games.

I'd also recommend switching to the Veryfast preset to improve image quality... an i7-930 can absolutely handle 720@30 in real-time on veryfast (actually, it can handle 1080p@30 or 720@60 as well on veryfast, as that's what I run with a 920). you should also ENABLE Aero, as it speeds up window captures under Win7.
Also, if you're on a 64-bit edition of Win7, switch to the 64-bit version of OBS; it comes with a performance increase.

The GTS250 may/will cause issues due to its age, yes. But I'd say it's more the RIDICULOUS bitrates you're using that is more likely to be causing the problem you're experiencing.

Ok, I have an old GT 8800 Laying around and i was wondering if id put it in my rig if i can use that itself dedicated to render the stream or w/e. Would that possibly make my stream smoother?

I know its worse but it wouldnt make a difference if i rendered the stream using that GPU and my 250 for playing games?
