Question / Help Need Help Optimizing Stream Settings (Log inside)

i dont really understand your setup...

because the resolution is more than just way too high for that kind of weak cpu and you are also running a capture card so assume you are using your notebook as a streaming machine while playing on your desktop?

Yeah, there's a few things that looks iffy and/or strange in my eyes :)

Massive skipped frames on occasion and your key frame interval is way off. Make sure you set it to 2 when streaming to twitch. You seems to have it set to 8,333333(etc) now? O_o

So with my current CPU, my max resolution should be 480p?

I am looking to stream in the best possibly settings that my laptop allows. Currently, I have a Lenovo Y500 laptop:
  • Intel i5 3230m
  • 6GB of RAM
  • nVIDIA GeForce GT 650 SLI
  • 1920x1080 screen resolution
Here are my Speed test results for my Internet: http://www.speedtest.net/result/4192341207.png

I have an Elgato Game Capture HD for console streaming. However, the Elgato software doesn't allow watermarks, screen transitions, etc. Therefore I use OBS to stream using the Elgato hardware.

My Elgato GameCap HD settings are:
  • 720p on BEST QUALITY (1280x720p Progressive, 15.0 Mbps / 114MB/min)
  • HDMI Color range is expanded, not standard
  • Profile is HD 720
  • Preserve Source Format is checked
  • Stretch Standard Definition Input is not
My Encoding settings in OBS are:
  • x264
  • CBR enabled
  • Max Bitrate: 3000
  • Quality Balance: 8
  • Base Resolution: 1280x720p
  • Resolution Downscale: None (1280x720)
  • Filter: Bilinear (fastest)
  • FPS: 30
  • Use Multithread Optimizations: Checked
  • Process Priority Class: Normal
  • Scene buffering time: 700ms
  • Video: x264 CPU preset: Veryfast
  • Encoding Profile: Main
  • Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds
  • Use CFR: Checked
