Hello,

My name is Matthew and I'd like to ask you about 'best' settings for my actual set-out and broadband.

Here's my box:

CPU: Intel i7 4770K LGA 1150 Haswell 3.5ghz
Graphics Card: Geforce GTX 660 Ti
Random Access Memory: 16GB DDR3 Kingston

Broadband:

Download : 60mb
Upload : 3mb

Resolution: I'm looking to stream on 852x532 to 1280x800 resolution.

Game: League of Legends.

Any help highly appreciated.

Regards,

Matthew G.

Won't it affect my gameplay ? / What buffer size should I put in, I was always really green with that one.

You want to just use CBR, and don't use a custom buffer size.

Your system is more than capable of streaming the resolution/FPS I suggested, and 2500 bitrate will be sufficient for LoL.

Are you on Windows 7 or 8?

Alright, then leave Aero on and avoid monitor capture. I recommend having two scenes, one for when you are actually in game and one when you are just in the lobby client. You can use Game Capture for both, and then swap between them as needed.

You can also look into the Simple Scene Switcher plugin located here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1785 to automate the scene switching based on which window you have active.

If you're getting high ping, that means your stream and the game are competing too much for your internet connection. First try enabling "Minimize Network Impact" in Broadcast Settings, and if that still doesn't help, try lowering the bit rate that you are streaming at.
