Question / Help Need 1080P60FPS recording settings for hight end pc

Need settings for recording 1080P60FPS.

My pc
BOX: Fractal Design Define R5 Black Black
MOTHERBOARD: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair 750W CX M
PROCESSOR: Intel Skylake i7-6700K 4GHz
GRAPHICS CARD: Asus Strix GTX 970 4GB
SSD: Kingston 240GB HyperX Savage SSD
HARD DISK: Seagate 8TB Archive HDD
SOUND CARD: Creative Sound Blaster Z
DISK DRIVE: NONE
COOLER: Corsair Hydro H55
RAM: Kingston 16GB HyperX Fury DDR4 2133 MHz
 
1. Make sure you're using 64bit OBS. The shortcut you get after installing defaults to 32bit, so you'll have to change it.

2. NicOnAcid's link is pretty good. The most important thing to decide is whether you only want very high quality that looks essentially lossless, or actual lossless. If you want actual lossless, you should use qp=0 for your custom x264 parameters. If you just want high quality, use a CRF of 10-18 like described on the linked page.

3. Is the game you're recording running on the same PC? This will have a huge impact on how far you can go in terms of CPU usage of OBS. (Basically how much CPU you can let OBS use for encoding, because if it uses too much your game may lag)
