Question / Help My voice is on a loop while I’m streaming to Mixer

So I’m not sure if anyone else has ever had this problem but when I’m streaming to mixer and let’s say I say “hello everyone” maybe 10 seconds later it will say it again and again and again. It just keeps looping and echoing back everything I say. Things I’ve tried is going onto my mic options on my laptop and turning off all other microphones besides the one that I’m actually using, I have no other windows open on my laptop while streaming so the looping isn’t coming from a different window that I have open. I have tested every single sound setting with the mixer and just cannot get it to stop looping my voice. Any ideas?

Okay by no means do I know what both those mean since I am very dumb when it comes to technology can you dumb it down for me and tell me how to fix it??

I don’t think I’m doing either of these. I checked my audio inputs and I only have one and that’s the USB microphone that I use. I start my stream on OBS and then look on my phone to watch the stream and the stream is still looping the audio so it has nothing to do with me having multiple windows open on my laptop. I’ve also disabled all other possible microphones on my laptop and the only possible one that will pick up my audio is my USB mic. I just don’t get it. I’ve done everything.

I also downloaded streamlabs OBS instead of OBS to see if maybe it was just OBS that was the issue but I did my setup on streamlabs and the only input sources I have are my webcam, webcam boarder, my streaming device (hauppauge HDPVR 2). Then I go into audio and choose MIC/auxiliary 1 and click on my USB microphone.

I’ll just explain the issue I’m having one more time. So I start my stream and say “hello guys” and then 10 seconds later it’ll say it again and then 10 seconds later it will say it again and so on.

That would be caused if you were watching your own stream-- although it would not be only your own voice, it would be all audio in the stream. Delay to a streaming server like youtube or twitch would be about ten seconds. If your own voice is the only or loudest thing in the stream, this would make sense.

Other than that, I have no idea. The most common causes of this are 1) hearing your own stream on the computer you're streaming from, or 2) trying to listen on the same audio output that you are using to capture for the stream
