Question / Help My videos cant open in VLC or MPC-HD

My recorded videos cant open in VLC or MPC-HD is says. "Can not play the file. It may be that the player does not support the file type or codec used to compress the file" Please help?

In general, a log file will tell us much more than a screenshot:
Problem? Make sure to post a log and/or crash dump -- HOWTO

But to your problem, did you record in mp4 or flv format? If the mp4 file did not close properly, it would render useless, thats why we generally recommend to record in flv, and copy to mp4 if necessary later.
If you have media-info at hand, you could read out the info of your saved files and see if the header is complete.

I dont know if that is the right log fil btw.

The log is from a very short session, but looks ok. We are currently trying to find out if this is a bug introduced in one of the recent updates. Its a bit complicated as none of our mods and devs seems to be able to reproduce it :/
