Question / Help My stream has no desktop/game sound

Hi all,

When I try to stream on youtube my desktop/game sound can't be heard. I'm seeing the desktop audio bar going but no sound is being streamed.

Running the 64bit OBS version.

Is that the audio device your game sound is playing on?

Nope. No sigar. Putting it on Device 'Realtek HD Audio 2nd output or default is the only way I get the green bar to lite up. Selecting my headphones doesn't do that and I'm not getting any desktop sound as well.

Also, check the main menu Edit>Advanced Audio Properties settings. The desktop's audio sources per Tracks, should be set same as the checkboxes for the mic source (that goes to output in your case).

I've set the Mic/Aux to track one and Desktop Audio to track two. Where can I find the mic sourse checkboxes you are talking about? Is that in the Output section on the Audio tab? Those are the same

Same thing's happened to me. Think it's to do with yesterday's 20.0 update. Particularly as the audio mixer settings icon has gone.

Ok! Progress. In my Output section in the Streaming tab I put audio track on 2. Now I got desktop sound, but no voice! And I can't select both Tracks for streaming,

I'm guessing it has something to do with my setip but I'm not sure what that might be.

I've figured it out but it doesn't seem right.

I've put in a second Desktop Audio in the Audio section. and put that on the 1 and 2 track. And that seems to be working for streaming. But I have to shut down my first desktop audio (my headphones) and my mic/aux (my mic.) And turn them back on when I want to record. Which seems to me that I should not be doing that.

Furthermore, My usb mic. and my usb headphones are selectable on the desktop Audio device AND the Mix/Aux Audio device.(in the Audio section) Is that normal?
