Question / Help My recording got interrupted while rendering

Is there any way to save it? I recorded about 7 hours of footage on Saturday, but I packed up too quickly and must have closed my laptop while the file was still rendering. I had hit "stop recording" already. Is there any way to save the file? One of my friends tried to do something manually but it ended up rather garbled. If it helps, here are some of my settings.

This is why it's better to use FLV and remux it afterwards (remuxing doesn't take long) instead of recording directly in the MP4 format.

To answer your question... there really isn't a way that I can tell you to recover the file.
 
I guess I don't know much about how rendering/remuxing works. Interesting, I'll switch my format. I appreciate the tip. I'm sure there has to be a way to salvage parts of it though
