Question / Help My game is running at 60fps, but OBS gets around 10 fps while previewing. Why is this?

PC Specs:
CPU: INTEL CORE i5 650 (3.2GHz)
GPU: Nvidia Quadro FX 380 (256 MB GDDR3)
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (DDR3)

It doesn't seem to be all games, just some games. Mostly Steam or DX9 intensive games.
It can't be my internet because I just want to Record gameplay, not stream it.

Neither your CPU nor your GPU are up to the task of handling real-time encoding at 720p30 in OBS. You'll need to use the Resolution Downscale option under Settings > Video to encode at a lower resolution, and probably change the preset under Settings > Advanced to superfast or ultrafast as well.

Really, you think so? That's weird because I can run other games, just not this one and some others.
But if you think I should do that I will.
Thanks.

Window capture and monitor capture appear to be experiencing lag. You might also try turning on aero when using just window capture. Would probably be best to avoid monitor capture all together
