Question / Help My capture won't adjust to my resolution.

So I was playing around in Fallout New Vegas and my buddies wanted to see what I was doing. So I tried to start streaming. I had OBS set up to my old POS 4:3 720p monitor, and figured I'd just configure it to my new 16:9 1080p monitor. I go to settings->video and set the window to a 16:9 aspect ratio at 1920x1080. When I went to test out what it looked like, it was a 4:3 aspect ratio square in the top right, with the rest of the screen as black. I had originally set up OBS with my crappy 4:3 monitor, is there anything I missed trying to get it to work on my new one? Also, just a side note, game capture didn't pick up Fallout and monitor capture just came up as a black screen.

I'm a complete scrub at OBS and have only used it a couple times. A sincere thank you to anyone who helps me out!

post your obs logfile from the help menu, copy the link and post the link here. you probably are running your game at a 4:3 aspect ratio? either way, I'll take a look at your log and let you know what you did wrong.

Just a minute, this was yesterday, I'll boot everything up real quick. Thanks!

Here it is, I still couldn't get any video from the game with either Monitor or Game capture, but on monitor capture it captured everything when i wasn't in-game. Thanks so much!

Oops, I don't think I put the log as a reply to your previous message. It's here though. Thanks so much!

Yeah so that log shows two monitor captures. remove those. also, the game capture doesn't show the game being attempted. best bet it to remove everything from the scene and make a new game capture after the game is running on your main screen, have OBS show in the second one. try running the game in windowed mode until you get it to show. once you do this and get OBS to see the game, change it back over to full screen.
