Well multiple webcams can work with OBS (as long as your motherboard supports it), and the OBS works fine with the C920, so if I were you I would check to see if the one webcam works with OBS (and it should)

It won't get confused if I have 2-3 C920 webcams?

I have two Microsoft LifeCam Studios and they just show up as two separate instances of the same device. Mind that it keeps track of which is which based on which USB port they're plugged into, so if you plug them into a different port you will lose your preset settings until you plug them back into the port they were plugged into when you set them up.

I don't know how it is with two c930e's, but I just got my c930e and I had problems getting it to work at the same time as my c920 with OBS.

What I had to do is to only install the drivers for the c920 and not the software and then NOT install the drivers for the c930e.

I needed a second webcam for my live stream so I could have a cat cam =P
Hope this help someone that have the same issue as me =)

unfortunately the issues with Logitech C930e extend beyond OBS. even with just one c930e, there's lag, sync issues, terrible framerates... and on top of it all, absolutely zero support from Logitech for it. No drivers, no special software, no tech support replys to forum posts (from me or anyone else!)

If anybody comes across an answer to the chronic problems with the c930e, please do let us all know!

I would wait to buy this camera (if it's not already too late, like with us :) ) until Logitech addresses these widespread issues with a firmware update.

Hi!

I have the same issues with C930e. The framerate is terrible in a lot of programs. I personally use Resolume Arena. From what I've read it is an issue with color space which can be YUV2 or MJPEG. With YUV2 the framerate can be 5fps maximum in 1920x1080. But with MJPEG it can be 30fps. So now it is only a question if the program supports the MJPEG...

A friend and I use a c930e and a c920 for our webcast.
Never had a huge problem.
Image quality is not that good because my upload speed is pretty lame (1500 maximum).
I'm far from being an specialist on streaming but one thing I notice is that the frame rate could be a lot better.
Maybe it's my computer. I use a notebook, a pretty decent one, to send the stream to connectcast.tv

Are you not better off just using the cheaper c920? I'm not sure why you would need the on board encoding when OBS is going to encode it anyway and is the wider FOV worth the extra money? The 920 is already fairly wide and I've seen some streamers crop that down.

Until they come out with actual USB 3.0 webcams I would think the 920 is pretty suitable.

You may even be able to use lower resolution cameras if you aren't using them fullscreen or even streaming/recording at 1080p. I know I'm looking at some cheaper 720 ones to try out a multicam set up along side my 920 and will be using those way below 720.

Of course without knowing exactly what your aim is none of that may be suitable, or perhaps you know something about the 930e I've not found.
