Hi - quick question: will OBS allow me to stream live at 1080p from my games and also have picture-in-picture a 720p webcam - again streaming on the same feed?

But not sure though if I can mix resolutions between live streaming game footage and webcam footage in the same scene.

This is all possible. I suggest you take a look at the quickstart guide: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/official-quick-start-guide.5/ especially the scenes and sources section.

Note that OBS is free software, you can just download it and try it out. If it doesn't suit your needs, you can just remove it again and nothing is lost.

Excellent - been using OBS for 1080 60fps streams and it works a treat. Lovely bit of software. Will make a little contribution on pay day.

Hi - got the scene stuff all sorted - works a treat.

One issue though, after a few minutes the Microsoft Lifecam (720p) webcam quits ... not sure why. The blue light goes off. Anyone else had this issue? Any suggested fixes?

Try to add the Cam as an Global Source. Than at this Global Source instead of ur camera in ur Sources part.

I think it is an issue with Assetto Corsa and / or DX11. Had to do a hard reboot just now. But ran laps fine with iRacing (DX9). Where are logs kept?

found the 64-bit exe

Okay, think I have solved my issues. Reinstalled the camera software and rebooted. Used the 64-bit OBS exe. I disabled sound in the microsoft camera settings, which coupled with reinstalling the software has improved things greatly. No crashes after 5 laps in Assetto Corsa.
