Question / Help Multiple OBS Programs Cant Select Same Game

so basically what i am trying to do is stream using one OBS App and record using a second one so that way i can do high quality recording while still streaming at a low bit-rate. the issue i am having is when i select the same game one of the apps just capture a black screen and i don't know the technical reasoning behind this but i know this has been an issue. my question is can you make some form of global source without using monitor or window capture? i would prefer using game capture for simplicity.

now i know this is sort of a topic that has been brought up before but that was using one OBS app running i would like to use one source between two instances of OBS

thanks for reading and hope to hear back.

Tried using OBS Multi Platform to do the recording and streaming you're currently doing?
Thanks for the Reply. it sort of worked but any game capture would just be a black screen so i may need to mess around with it a bit

You can use multiplatform to record and stream at different bitrates in one program. You don't need to try that fancy stuff.

? How would that work? There is no Stable Windows version out for OBS Multiplatform yet. And the Multiplatform version could do that?

True.

But regardless, Multiplatform will let you stream at one resolution+bitrate and record locally at another.
