Question / Help Multiple Feeds to One Stream

Hello,

I have 3 steamers (including myself) that are in the same house and want to combine our computer displays into one stream. So essentially we would all be playing a game and one OBS would be capturing the three displays (whether that means we have a dedicated streaming computer or if OBS runs on one of our systems) and send it to one twitch channel.

I have been trying to think of the best way to do this and wasn't sure if there is anything built into OBS that would allow something like this to be done. I have contemplated a capture card of some sort but would rather not spend money on hardware if there is an easier way with the software. From what I have researched already it seems like it may be hard to do without adding a piece of hardware but figured I would ask.

Would love some input.

Thanks!

I may not be much help here but i have been thinking about this kind of process for a while. It could be possible with a Custom RMTP server and a machine running OBS to mixing the different videos together. I have had some luck with other live-stream software but the performance and sync with TeamSpeak was always a issue!

I would definitely recommend to do a capture card setup in a dedicated PC. With good capture cards and assuming you can get 3 hdmi cables to one central PC you will have no big problems synchronizing everything.
An alternative would be to do a nginx setup. If all 3 PC's are capable of streaming, you would setup a central server to receive the 3 streams and use that PC to combine them and send out the final stream. But in this case to sync everything you will have to find ways of using different buffer sizes etc. and it can be a horrible thing to do.

Sorry to bring up an old post but, I'm essentially trying to do the same thing with xboxes.. We have 2 xbox ones side by side and 2 elgato hd60s models. We only need 1 webcam and both have astro a40TR's I've been trying both elgatos on 1 cpu but was told i have issues due to both 3.0 usb slots are on the same bus. So ultimately what is the best way to go about this?? Im thinking im gona have to incorporate my surface pro 4 into the mix since it has a 3.0 usb and do a RTMP server thingy mabob

You could get a USB 3.0 controller to get around the bandwidth problem. But have you checked, does elgato support using two hd60s? I remember that users had to install special drivers to use more than one at the same time. In your case, with two consoles being the input, a capture card is the way to go. Generally I would recommend to get two internal capture cards (assuming you have 2 free pci-e slots in your pc) to get around all problems.
