Question / Help Multiple Audio Sources

I know this is asked quite frequently but how would I go about using multiple audio sources other than the two OBS allows by default? I know getting the files for the DirectShow Plugin is one way but it seems v0.554b doesn't allow this because I get some errors every time I try to extract the files. Should I download another version of OBS? or is there something else? I tried setting up Virtual Audio Cable and I didn't have much luck getting to work, but then again I'm not the best at this stuff yet.

Not sure what you want to acomplish, but VAC is pretty good for fiddling with audio. If you explain a little more your goal maybe I can give you a few pointers

What kind of Audio sources do you want to add? The DShow Plugin is normally the easiest way with OBS, but not all types of sound devices are supported. For VAC I have made a few tutorials on my blog, check the Audio Guides: http://blog.hemp-society.de/p/streaming-guides.html
If you have exact questions then, just post them here and I try to explain or help :)

I mean what I want to do isn't very complicated, I'm just new to this and trying to learn how to do this stuff. I currently stream with my in-game sounds/music on a lower volume since they go through the same source, but I'm usually in a Skype call as well so I'd like to be able to include the Skype call, and the only way I can do this is to either remove the music/game sounds or my mic replaced with the Skype call.

I'm not following. Skype should be included if you have your default audio device in OBS and in sound control panel

I run Skype through my headset which is a set of turtlebeaches, this is where my mic comes from as it is part of the headset. So I have my headset sounds and my speakers. Because if I were to run Skype, games and music through one thing I'd personally go insane from all the sounds colliding and seeing as the mic is super sensitive I'd have to lower if no turn off my game/music souds

So the headset is a separate device?
If yes, what if you set your sound card as default device that goes into OBS, and make it so you can hear the sound from that device through your headset? Makes sense?

sound card -> default in control panel
obs -> default device
sound card -> listen this device -> headset

You just mind fucked me, lol I have no idea what making my sound card listen to something is unless you mean change the default playback device in which case it wouldn't it just change where the audio is coming from?

Not sure if the same issue, but thought I'd reply here and ask my question rather than start a new thread. I have a set of USB speakers along with a headset. My sounds primarily play through the speakers, however, when I fly in a flight simulator and communicate with air traffic control, the air traffic control sounds go through the headset rather than the speakers. Is there a way to set OBS, so that I can play the sounds from both the speakers and the headset? Right now, it just plays the sounds that come from the speakers, so you can't hear the air traffic control communications in the actual stream.
