Multi-Stream Plug-In Quality dip (Only Youtube)

Ohhh I'll try keep an eye out for this, where would it be posted please?

I'm not so worried about my co-hosts video, they'll sort that in time, I'm more worried about my own! There's not a problem anywhere else other than Youtube, which is bugging me now lol

Any idea how I do any of that please or can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks again
The Aitum MultiStream plugin has now been released (a few hours ago).
You can get here (from their website)
https://aitum.tv/products/multi

Or from their GitHub https://github.com/Aitum/obs-aitum-multistream/releases/tag/1.0.0

I haven't looked at it, yet, but I believe it's a more elegant thing than the Multi RTMP plugin...sort of more usable, more options If you use their Vertical plugin, you still need the plugin for Vertical but I believe this MultiStream plugin 'hooks' into their Vertical plugin (that's what I read).

My understanding is that when you stream to YouTube at 1080p (or lower) it transcodes to h264/AVC but if you stream at 1440p (or higher) it'll transcode using VP9 (better codec than h264/AVC). So, you could try streaming at higher than 1080p to YouTube.

OR, I think you can force it to VP9 but actually sending it 1080p (rather than 1440p, or higher, by 'tricking it')…I read this somewhere..
"you have to change the streaming key you're using.

these aren't exact, but how you do it basically:

go into (YouTube) studio > go live > change stream key > select 1440p 60fps (60fps tick box)

this broadcasts the stream in VP9 which is nice and crisp.

you'll get a warning in the YouTube studio that the stream from your computer is 1080p60 and it doesn't work with the current settings, but that is a lie."

I haven't tried that ^^ so I have no idea if it actually works, or worked in past & doesn't now
[plus I think you may have to make a new 1440p key for each stream...but I could be wrong]

OBS isn't causing those dropped frames so it's either the wi-fi or your internet isn't able to support the multi-streams.

As noted above the "Web Cam" Scene is suspect/bad configuration & it's referenced in many of the other Scenes. Profile could be bugged. Run a test, create a new Profile with only 1 Scene & 1 Source see if things improve.

Windows Gaming & Graphics settings. Game DVR is "Captures"

They're browser sources, looks like bad links. If you can't fix them, may need to be removed if problems persist.
Thanks @rockbottom :-) I wasn't dropping any frames before on my Original settings in post one, any idea why it would be doing it now on the new graphics card settings you suggested?

I'm going to do a new profile now, duplicate everything and remove everything I don't need! See if I can clear up some of the actions

Cool @GeeAitchZero303@protonmai Let's not try that then since this is for a company I'm working for rather than for my personal interests lol

However, Is it possible to make everything 1440p and 'Get from OBS' to Youtube? Or do I need to alter settings for Youtube specifically?

So here is it cleaned up, I obviously couldn't test webcam since I am not on Google Meets atm and didn't know how to test without going live, and since this isn't my personal live stream I can't just do one unfortunately.

I think I have disabled Windows gamebar > background and Terminated components and in Gaming > disabled allow controller to open game bar think that's everything?

You said you were encoding @ 5,500kb/s in post 1 & now it's @ 6,000kb/s so lower it back to 5,500kp/s. If there are still dropped frames, reduce the number of out-going streams or lower resolution/bit-rate further.

Log looks like it's before you made any changes. Nothing new in there, just more of the same.

Will try that in this weeks stream on Friday

Do you think moving all this back to how it was and targeting the Youtube outsource would be the the way to go?

Nothing's changed? I removed loads, I don't see what else there is I can do...I will be deleteing the Webcam source and re-adding it tomorrow I'll send a file then

Thanks again

@rockbottom Here is my latest Log

I can't find any other way to disable Gamebar, I've even gone into Windows Powershef and diabled it with coding yet it still says it's active despite me being able to to not open it anymore? But otherwise does the Webcam bit look better please?

All Settings > Gaming. Game DVR is "Captures"

As far as the "Web Cam" scene is concerned, yep, the second window capture has been deleted. But look at your other Scenes, some of them have the "Web Cam" scene 2x, not sure why you need it twice.

@rockbottom I don't see a anyway to stop Game Bar as i've turned off 'Record what happened' (See image attatched)

I have two scenes, as I have 2 Web Cams.. I use both from Google meets, always have, and as I say it's never been a problem before when streaming to Youtube soley or now when streaming to Twitch or X... it's just an issue on Multi-stream

The reason I input the scene twice, is to scale each webcam separately. As in one scene we're next to each other and in another we're above one another... I was taught to do it this way...I could just input my Webcam, but for some reason I've always preferred the Image through Google meets

Please read and follow directions and recommendations on the analyzer:

You can access it within OBS Help menu when you upload a log file. Yes, OBS has a useful Help menu.
Remove the plugins. Make sure any plugin you add is compatible with the version of OBS you're using.

Wi-fi isn't reliable enough for streaming. Please use a wired connection. Meaning, use a network cable (cat 6)
One or the 2 plugins have memory leaks which also end up causing issues. This can only be resolved contacting the devs of the plugin causing the leak.
