Question / Help Multi cam streaming

I am attempting to do a multi cam live stream using obs and youtube. I have a hardware video switcher running to a magewell XI100DUSB. In preview I can get it looking great but always get pixelation no matter what I can change. The pixelation is noticeable on camera change and motion in camera. My question is, is there a near lossless way to stream and record? What settings would you use? What is a reasonable laptop to handle it? Currently attempting it with an i7 2000, 840m and 8bgigs of ram.

I want to be able to edit the footage after the live stream.

Record near-lossless, yes.
Stream, definitely not.
Recording and streaming with different settings basically requires you to use obs studio.
