Question / Help Msi X99S Gaming 9 ACK streaming support

Hi, all! New member looking to clear up something before getting a new mobo.

The Msi X99S Gaming ACK has an Avermedia streamign engine included, and they claim it's 'optimized for XSplit Gamecaster'.

However, I would like to use it with OBS instead.

Can anyone confirm if it will work ok?

It's actually supported on the multiplatform version. Not ideal for streaming as was stated, but it is supported. (Also ignore that 'optimized for' stuff, it's complete BS)
 
Ok, understood: "will work, but there are better hardware options out there". Is that a fair summary? :)
