Bug Report MP3 sound stopped working

I know what you're going t say, that I should just use AAC instead. My laptop hates AAC. And I mean hates. It literally will not use sound files with AAC. It's fine with videos that use it, but not audios. I want to get it working in case something goes wrong with the AAC sound and I'll be left with no audio whatsoever. Anyway, the problem.
MP3 hasn't worked properly for months, whenever I've tried it the sound has registered on the bars but it hasn't been transcoded onto the videos. Not a peep. Just silence. I'll attach a log file in a moment. Any suggestions?

Never mind, it's working now. That is weird. It hasn't worked for months and now it's just started working just as I sent this.

Or you could just use VLC to play back your recordings that use AAC.

VLC Player is all I ever use, now that Media Player doesn't work.
