My mouse stops working when I press "Start Streaming" or when I'm Previewing my stream. It happens 1-5 seconds after I start streaming.
This occurs at other times aswell but only when I'm using OBS.

I haven't had a problem with my mouse before this and it hasn't happened again since I closed down the program.

My mouse is a Razer Deathadder and I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.
Intel Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz
4096MB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 460

Edit:
Heres one video when I tried to stream and the mouse stopped working:

Maybe it was just a coincidence. Does it happen every time you start streaming? Have you tried using another mouse?

I've heard of this happening to only one other person before, and I unfortunately have no idea why on earth that would happen, because I don't do anything with the mouse other than the standard windows functions for getting its position/cursor.

Unfortunately I do not have access to another mouse at the moment and it happens every time I start streaming with a delay ranging from 1-8 seconds. I have not had this problem with other broadcasting softwares and I find the whole thing very odd.

It seems to be working fine today, hopefully it stays that way.

Apologies for the trouble.. Wish I had all the answers, but sometimes these things elude even me

I'm having this exact problem. It's also the keyboard. Basically I/O operations halt, but video rendering still occurs. See this video

This is the same day as a fresh Windows 7 install.

Additionally, the only thing that affects it is the resulting resolution. My native resolution is 1680x1050. No downscaling it stutters often, 1.5 sometimes, 2.0 it doesn't seem to really do it at all. During streaming though, no resources get particularly high. CPU stays under 30%, GPU stays low resource usage as well. I don't even need a screen region assigned and I get the problem.

The only logical reason I could think of is because there's IO going on with many devices and it causes an issue somewhere that wouldn't normally be present elsewhere. This is generally issues with the hardware, OBS again does not actually do anything with the mouse so it's the trigger of the problem, not the cause.

Do you have a USB camera -and- a USB mouse/keyboard? Can you try plugging them in to different headers?

I feel like when it's initializing the camera, something on your system is causing the other usb devices to come unresponsive?

Has this been fixed yet? I have the same problem- used different mouses, still the same problem. This is especially annoying since I enjoy streaming and playing games but I risk my life as well as my teammate's when my mouse stops working for a couple seconds. Both my webcam and mouse are USB. I have streamed without camera and still have the same problem (not sure if the camera being on was part of the problem). Anyone have a solution?

@KaceyBabyy This thread is from December 2012, was necro'd in April of 2013, and now necro'd again. If you're having the same issue please make a new thread with a log file, but understand that it is almost certainly a system issue and not a bug with OBS.
