Hey guys,

I hope you can help me. My native resolution is 2560x1440 and I downscale it for the stream to 1280x720. I'm really new in this things.
My problem is, that my mouse cursor on the stream is async to my monitor.

Do I have forgotten something in the options?

Edit:
Now I have tested a little bit and have an example. When I am in the LoL Start Screen, the mouse is sync. But when I go in a match and I am ingame it is async.

Thanks for your answers

Hi,

I want to show my mouse tn the stream, but on the stream the mouse cursor is not on the same point then on my monitor.

So it shows you clicking at the wrong places? That's just weird, never heard of it. Is it always offset the same direction?

Exactly. Yes, it is every time the same direction, diagonal left. And it is every time when I am ingame. When I am for example in the lol start client the mouse is on the same place. So the "windows cursor" makes no problems, the software cursors ingame (like in LoL) have the problem.

Does it do it in other recording software, like FRAPS for example?

Can you post an OBS log file?

I did not try it. Just tried it in OBS. When u tell me what I have to do I can try to post you a log file :).

Well can you see if it happens with other software too? I believe its the fifth sticky post down that describes how to post a log file.

Sorry that I am writing so late. The last days were full :). Ok I look for another streaming software and test it.

Edit:
Ok I tested another streaming software and there the mouse cursor is on the same place like on my monitor.

Edit2:
Holy crap. I have found the cause. Windows 8.1 scales ALL up to 125%. And so when I am in a game there is the problem that the "windows cursor" (it is the hardware cursor I think) and the "software cursor" are not on the same place and OBS capture the whole time the windows cursor I think. Now I have the scale set to 100% and all is fine!

Now I have all smaller und I hope that will work for me :/. LoL and Hots for example do not have the option to work with the hardware cursor. Or is here some one who have a idea for this to change?

It might depend on your capture method, not sure. You haven't posted a log file so I can't tell you what capture method you're using now.

I tested window and game capture and both had the same problem. OBS captures just the hardware cursor, I have read it somewhere.

I dont know what you mean :(. The problem was that windows 8.1 had a "zoom" at 125% because of my resolution 2560x1440. When I set it on 100% there is no problem with the mouse on obs. The problem was only in games, not when I was on the desktop.

I see, I just figured that the scaling was affecting within the game as well, which could be the case. Maybe there is a scaling for higher resolutions in game as well?

No because the games dont work with the "windows-scaling" I had the problem that my mouse cursor was in the stream in a game on the wrong place (not on my monitor). When the games would work with the "windows-scale" you do not have such a problem :). But I think I have read somewhere that obs shows only the hardware cursor (this one works with the "windows-scale) and not the software cursors from the games.

Yes, I understand, this could very well be the case. Do you have similar issues with the rebuild of OBS? OBS MP?
