Question / Help Mouse Lag

I've done some searching and see I'm probably not the only one with this issue -- Only when I'm streaming I am experiencing a mouse lag / sensitivity issue.

Example: It takes double the amount of effort to spin 180degrees in-game while streaming.

I've seen one recommendation to increase send buffer size, but mine is already at 5840.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm having some game crashes when using 'game capture'. Is there any other alternative? If I jack up my mouse sensitivity, will that help?

Game capture is still in a testing phase, so it's unfortunately a bit buggy still. What game are you playing? Does it happen in both preview, and while streaming? (if it doesn't, that means it's usually a network thing with multiplayer games)

Rich and Jim already made the best suggestions, but are you using a mouse that comes with it's own software/engine that runs in the background on your PC? Razer's new mice come with Synapse 2.0, which forces you to run the software in the background (and maintain an Internet connection to their servers) in order to access your Profile(s). There are also some SteelSeries mice that require you to run the SteelSeries Engine in the background on your PC to get the full functionality of all buttons/macros on your Profile(s). Even if you are using an onboard profile for these devices, this software can still interfere by running in the background and being prioritized by your mouse over the onboard settings; contributing to mouse latency when you're doing anything CPU intensive, like streaming.

Thanks for the help guys.

It happened in the first game I tried -- Counter Strike:Source. But I have played numerous games since then -- with and without the 'game capture' feature -- and I have not noticed the issue. I'm not all concerned at the moment if that is the only game I'm experiencing it with. Or perhaps some configuration change I made fixed it. If it comes back I will update here. Thanks again.

I am also using a Razer mouse, but not one that requires me to have internet connection.

Source games like Counter Strike, TF2, and L4D2 can be somewhat CPU intensive. FPS games in general tend to have a lot more going on processor-wise than League of Legends and other games. Even if you have no problems playing/streaming other games at 1080p, you might want to lower your settings to 720p or even lower when trying to play these games and see if it alleviates your issue at all. It could be that you just don't have the processor power.

Does your Razer mouse use special software? The point of my previous post was that this software (not necessarily the Internet connection, such as in Synapse 2.0's case) could still be running in the background on your PC and be getting prioritized by your mouse, contributing to mouse latency/lag when the majority of your CPU is being diverted towards your game and streaming. I'm not trying to imply that this is the source of your problem. I just wanted to clarify that you might want to check for this software running in the background, regardless of whether or not it requires an Internet connection.

Hello. My mouse sometimes stops working only when i use obs. My cpu is good enough to handle streaming and with my internetconnection i can stream in hd. So I dont know where the problem is. I even closed and disabled Razer Synapse, but it didnt help. I dont use game capture, I just take one Monitor for this. Should I change that?
