Question / Help More video recording issues

Hi again, I'm back with another video recording issue.

1) We're back to the same FLV problem as before: two audio tracks, one of them is nulldef'd, causes most video players to hiccup.

2) As suggested in my previous thread, I moved to MP4 recording. Now I've got the aditional problem of *more* nulldef's audio tracks AND the MP4 crashes multiple video players (VLC, WMP).

As before, this only occurs on larger files.

Samples causing the problems (both files are very large)

As always, I'm available via e-mail, lordkat@lordkat.com or twitter @LordKaT if you want to talk.

Sorry Jim, VLC reports a "nulldef" codec used in the phantom audio track produced in the two videos above. Basically, an audio track with an undefined codec.

When the phantom audio track occurs in the FLV files VLC will simply report a "nulldef" codec, while in the mp4 file it simply crashes VLC.

I'm speaking in terms of VLC simply because it's the easiest way for you to see what I'm seeing. Attempting to use these files in a video editor (like Sony Vegas Pro 12) causes all sorts of problems. FFMPEG spouts out serious errors and most times wont even bother trying to convert these files for cleanup.

There definitely does seem to be some sort of issue with the muxer. Thank you for pointing it out to me.

You guys are kinda hilarious, and I just skipped around real quick, there was a joke pretty much everywhere I looked, nice job!

Try using AAC audio instead of MP3. It played perfectly fine in MPC for me by the way, but no audio in WMP and Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 couldn't open the file. Switching to AAC audio should fix these issues.
