Question / Help Monitor Capture not working

The following happens when I try to use Monitor Capture. Window Capture and everything else works fine.

Any ideas? I'm using Windows 8.1 with up to date OBS. HP laptop with Intel(r) HD graphics 4000.
Using OBS for file output only.

Well it does look very pretty but not exactly as it should I think. Shouldn't there be only one screen image and not lots of screen images of screen images of screen images of screen images ad infinitum?

You can right click the preview and disable it if you don't want monitor capture to capture the preview window. Otherwise what you are seeing is perfectly normal, since monitor capture is showing your monitor which includes your preview that is showing monitor capture, ad infinitum.
